Get out on the water in NYC, with the country’s first gay-owned and operated sailing charter company and sailing school, beginning May 7
Out on the Water Sailing, Inc sets sail on May 7 for its first sailing class!

NEW YORK, NY, 04/13/10 – A new LGBT-oriented sailing charter company and sailing school, Out on the Water Sailing, Inc is on course to start providing local sailing opportunities and instruction out of their bases in New York City and Sag Harbor, NY.

"From coastal cruising to ocean racing, I've had enough fun and adventure over the past 20+ years to know that everyone has got to get Out on the Water Sailing!" said Capt. Chris Bartick, Out on the Water Sailing co-founder. “We love to sail and will focus on getting our clients to love sailing and spending time aboard with us at beautiful ports around the globe.”

Co-founders Chris Bartick and Toby Stull are lifelong sailors, avid sailboat racers and experienced instructors. Bartick and Stull both hold Merchant Mariner Captain’s licenses, as well as various sailing instructor certifications issued by the American Sailing Association. Out on the Water Sailing has engaged a growing number of charter affiliates worldwide to provide the best possible access to wonderful boats in beautiful natural ports. Their fleet includes a J22 performance sailboat "Wanderlust" based in New York Harbor and a Beneteau First 42 sailboat "Pearl" moored in Sag Harbor.

Out on the Water Sailing offers evening sails on the Hudson, LGBT multiple-night sailing adventures out of the Hamptons and LGBT-focused adventure sailing to beautiful destinations worldwide. Their mission is to foster the growth of sailors of all abilities within the safety and comfort of an LGBT-friendly program, while providing a platform for endless opportunities of worldwide sailing adventures.
